Loin de marcher sur les traces des petits lords fashion, les Bogart ont choisi de prendre leur camion et de tourner sans relâche. Au programme : des lives, des rencontres avec d'autres groupes, une musique qui mûrit et qui s'alimente de galères, d'espoirs comme de déceptions. C'est tout naturellement qu'un label américain les signe en 2008 avec à la clé un live au SXSW 2009 (au côté de Delphic, White Lies, Ben Harper, etc.). Depuis, le label bordelais ultra productif Boxon Records a vu dans cette formation leur caution rock, fin 2009. En effet, leur premier album autoproduit semblait très prometteur, bourré de tubes, pourtant aucune étiquette ne semblait lui convenir.
Imaginez donc un single imparable comme « Woman in Uniforms » mêlant esprit de fête et état d'ugence. Bogart pense son rock comme de fervents mélomanes et avant tout comme une audience, à coup de fausses pistes, tapant dans le mille à chaque fois. Vous pouvez chercher, vous ne trouverez rien dans le même genre.
Leur premier EP sortira en septembre, et s'annonce déjà comme dévastateur. Composé du titre « Behold », cinq remixes (dans les styles electro, house, dance et rock breaké) s'ajoutent au tracklisting du vinyl. Leur nouvel album sort sur BOXON RECORDS d'ici la fin de l'année. Plus de surprises bientôt...

But Bogart is far from being like those little fashion lords... On the road with their truck, they have been on tour, met other bands, nourrishing their music with despair, hard times, disappointments as well as hope. So, coherently an american label produced their first album in 2008 which, as some kind of reward, permitted them to perform a live at the 2009 SXSW (with Delphic, White Lies, Ben Harper, etc.). Since then, Boxon Records, an independent and productive record label from Bordeaux, has been attracted by their rock essence, and signed them at the end of 2009. Indeed, their first autoproduced album was very promising, and constituted a good hits' library; otherwise it was impossible to classify it.
So imagine a perfect single such as « Woman in Uniforms » that mixes together a spirit of party time and a state of emergency. Bogart thinks his rock as music lovers and before all as a public, sometimes with wrong notes, and succeeds every time. You can look for something like that, you will never find it.
Their first EP will be out in September, and sounds terrific. With the track « Behold », five remixes (in the electro, house, dance and breaked rock genres) are added to the vinyl tracklisting. Their new album is coming OUT by the end of this year on BOXON RECORDS. More surprises soon...
