In only two years of existence, the French record label Boxon Records owned by Julien Minet (aka DCFTD) has been developing his five artists in electro: Tom Deluxx, Eclier, Dilemn, Gooseflesh, and WAT. Also the rock band Bogart & The Addictives has just been signed (you'll get some good news about it soon).
. Tom Deluxx began with electronic music as a deejay in Bordeaux (back in 2005). Since this time, he has successfully managed to set the stage for renowned electronic artists, such as Justice, The Bloody Beetroots, Para One, Boys Noize or SebastiAn. His dj sets are powerful, and his productions always up-to-date. His next EP, called « Run », is set up for April 2010, and Tom chose the italian Cyberpunkers to remix his new hit. Also, a video-clip (realised by Selim Bentounes) will be made, with a nice and friendly staff during a week-end close to Lacanau. Stay tuned for more details and exclusive news (trailer, mini-movies, etc.).
. Eclier, our siberian discovery, a really special artist with his really own style, old fan of the Daft Punk, and king of the melodies, has already released two EPs on Boxon Records (which are the « Boxon Say Hello » EP and the « Alpha River » EP), more two great remixes for Tom Deluxx and Dilemn. Alex Gopher, Nil Hartman, The Proxy and other nice producers are enjoying his music, describing it sometimes as « intelectual », and above all « with notes of hope ». Being able to work just with a really small equipment (a basic PC with the FruityLoops music program and some headphones), Nikita aka Eclier can also create energetic and massive tracks for the dancefloor; and that is what we’ll clearly hear on his upcoming « The Future Is Now » EP, coming out on Boxon Records before the summer 2010.
. Highly powerful, Dilemn's tracks blow huge basses, with monstruous kicks and staggering rhythmic. Keyboards melodies pour on incredible grooves and take you into a deep swirl of pleasure. Played by reputed dj's like Tiga, Soulwax, Tacteel, Erol Akan, Cut La Roc and having done an unavoidable Birdy Nam Nam remix, he's spotted by the Diesel compilation "Edges" on Because Music. Today Dilemn is very popular on the international electro scene and it's not unusual to see him in the Top 10 of digital best sales. After his successful "Cosmica" EP on Boxon (back in December 2008), his upcoming and so expected album (with great and still secret collaborations) is set up for the end of this year 2010 on Boxon Records. . Electro addicts don't worry: Turkey brings us Gooseflesh! Since 2008, this duo has been releasing his tracks on different labels such as Coco Machete, Freakz Me Out, Erase Records; they also won the international remix contest organized by Digitalism for their track "Taken Away". We felt that things were positively changing for them, we signed them and two months after it was released, their track "Blow Up" was still in the Beatport's 10 best sales... Then their "Still Wild" single was out in september 2009. After playing at the TransMusicales festival in December, they found the time to release the "Insanely" EP during the same month (still on Boxon Records), with remixes from Dilemn and Xinobi! More music from Gooseflesh on Boxon is coming soon…
. After two noticeable EPs in 2008, WAT (ex We Are Terrorists) is coming back with a new one « UU80 » on the french parisian label Place Blanche Records, and another one « Try Before Buy » on Motivo. Taking into consideration those last releases, it's even harder to classify their music... If we had to risk it, we would have to say that they are playing a kind of « positive electrorock, new wave discoteca, with a hip-hop twist »… (To be short). In live, the band offers us a set with keyboards, guitars, drum kits, and vocals… Their rock power and energy on stage are always linked to the electronic universe. More pragmatically, WAT is a big smile on your face, or a big punch on your head. Their first album "Wonder" is planned for the year 2010 on Boxon Records.
Then for eclectic reasons, being thirsty for music, and in order that no one gets bored, other nice projects are being shown to people, such as: Daroc, Pro7, Access Denied, Hungry Sam, NT89 & Distrakt, Y, Dyebox, StereoHeroes, The Toxic Avenger.
We do also have to thanks our remixers, who are: D.Fine, Tepr, Les Petits Pilous, Xinobi, Beataucue, Nicolas Chenard, Racontage, Léonard de Léonard, Digikid84, Datsu, etc.
Each year we are releasing the Boxon compilation: the first year, it was called « BOXON MAKES ME HAPPY »; the second year, « BOXON MAKES ME CRAZY »; and in 2011 a new one is coming. This project shows you nice electronic music made by artists from all around the world: Portugal, France, Russia, Belgium, United States, Australia, United Kingdom, Germany, Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Switzerland, Turkey, and from more to come…

OUT IN VINYL: March the 15th, 2010 OUT IN DIGITAL: March the 29th, 2010
Listening to the track “We Won’t Stop (Original Mix)”, we really notice the quality of their sound, which combines the best of the underground and overground without contriteness or awkwardness - and it's one that's already been catching the attention of French legend Alan Braxe and BBC Radio 1's Jaymo. They cut a fine life in cool, catchy, potent electro with pop vocals and strong song writing.
The vinyl release includes the wonderful remix of Tom Deluxx, who put the track even more Techno: playing nicely with the vocals first, then his vision evolves with a dancy and catchy feeling. After the second break, we just want to say: We Won’t Stop !!!
In digital, there will be also two more tracks available: the Dub Mix made by HUMAN LIFE themselves, especially for this release; and also, the remix of Low Concept (who is a new duo from Bordeaux, between Nils Jumpen and D.Fine)
Listen to some extracts of the “We Won’t Stop” EP with the Fairtilizer players below.
We already got some feed-backs from: - Dope Fish: "Dope track! I'm gonna play it tomorrow! Cheers." ONLY FOR DJ'S session #59 podcast." - Far Too Loud: "Thanks! Banging track with a great vocal. I think the Tom Deluxx remix is great too and will probably fit better in my sets so will be supporting that. All the best, Oli." - Aerotronic: "Loving it! Nice work."
After the release in January 2009 of the LP called "Boxon Makes Me Happy" (ref. Boxon007), which has been pretty successfull (special discovery of artists such as Gooseflesh & StereoHeroes / good reviews in the french magazines such as Trax & Tsugi / some of the tracks have been playlisted on BBC Radio 1), now is coming the new BOXON compilation, and it is called "BOXON MAKES ME CRAZY".
This project will show you nice electronic music from artists who come from all around the word (Portugal, France, Russia, Belgium, United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Brazil, and Argentina), and discovered by Julien Minet (Boxon director) during this year 2009. I'm sure you'll love to get it in your hands when it's OUT !!!
Also, the awesome design of the cover has been realised by our art designer, Anem.

(Jacques Drujon)
Hugo de Kok & Timo Blanksma (who are the producers of this new video-clip) say: "what if you wake up with the strange gift that when you clap your hands twice, you'll teleport to a random location and situation. We thought it would be something like this..." Watch the video below, and also do not forget reading their own explanation of their work.
A music videoclip made as a project for school. Produced by Hugo de Kok & Timo Blanksma. Filmed with the Canon 5D Mark II.
Special thanks to: - Dilemn - MSI Europe
We're inspired by the videoclip that is made for the song called 'Luv DeLuxe' by Cinnamon Chasers. A very popular music video some weeks ago. The only thing we wanted after seeing that video was to shoot a videoclip entirely from point of view.
Before we worked out any of our ideas we had to make a suitable helmet to mount the 5D on. This wasn't that easy because of the weight of the camera. After some few tries it finally worked out and we made some test videos. But after seeing the results, we concluded that we needed a wider lense for the camera. With some luck we could borrow a 14mm lense for the whole production. With this lense mounted we really created the eye sight of a human being.
The script of this videoclip started in the bus to school when Hugo listened to a song with a lot of claps in it. We decided to work further on the idea of picturing different situations with claps leading trough the story. But there are not that much songs with a lot of claps ánd nice to listen at the same time. After some real hard thinking we came with the idea that the clapping also could be visible, not hearable.
On the same day we searched for a other kind of music and we found the artist Dilemn. We didn't knew him or his music at all, but this number really suited our idea. So we worked out some idea's with Modern Slave on the background for inspiration. We came with the idea of a guy who accidentily claps twice in his hands in the moring. His hands are starting to glow a bit and he suddenly teleports to an other location. The rest of the story can be seen in the video ofcourse.
The only thing that bothered us after finishing the first edition of the script was that it wasn't really a story, it was more something like a lot of scènes putted very quick after each other in the editing. So we thought that there had to happen something with the main character. So we decided to change a bit of the script and searched for a way to keep the attention of the public.
There was no way around it, the character had to die. Or at least be in a situation where he looks the death in the eyes. We actually took that qoute very literally and made it to be our semi final scène.
There maybe will come a version with some more effects in it like gunshots, but we actually didn't want to put that stuff in cause of the cheapy look it would create with our skills of effect editing.
Well, we hope you'll enjoy the videoclip and critical comments are always welcome!
