TOM DELUXX (Bordeaux). Premier Boxon artist and half of the duo Just A Band, Tom Deluxx is a dj/producer with a solid reputation on the international electro scene. He has successfully managed to set the stage for renowned electronic artist, such as Justice, The Bloody Beetroots, Para One, Boys Noize or SebastiAn. Presently, he divides his time between producing superior tracks and spinning at the best clubs in the world. His next EP, called "Run", is set up for April 2010, on the label Boxon Records.
OUT IN VINYL: April the 19th, 2010 OUT IN DIGITAL: April the 26th, 2010
Listening to the track “Run” by Tom Deluxx, we immediately feel his dark side. With this outstanding production, the artist from Bordeaux is showing again his composing skills. Putting together all the most up-to-date ingredients into his new work, which he decorated with nice “hip-hop” vocals, “Run” automatically gives you the desire to dance.
Already compared to the sound of The Bloody Beetroots and of Justice, the electro by Tom Deluxx is melodic, sometimes heavy, and especially effective. Frenchy techno + hype sensations.
The vinyl (and digital) release includes the powerful remix of the Cyberpunkers, who put the track even more Dancefloor. Also present: the track “Reactivate” (available only in digital since August 2009) by Tom Deluxx.
Finally, a video-clip for “Run” realised by Sélim Bentounes and produced by Boxon Records will be shown really soon.
Listen to an extract of “Run” with the SoundCloud player below.
The MOSHPIT trio comes from Montpellier, and is a music band making a fusion between metal-tekno and hardcore. Having already been selected as Discovery of the Printemps de Bourges, they also signed the 61st maxi of the legendary Industrial Strength label from New-York. After releasing their first maxi of Remixes on I.O.T. Records, they are releasing now their maxi of Remixes on the French label Boxon Records.

“A tsunami of decibels that belongs to no church, but profaning all of them and violating, without faith nor law, the foundations of breakcore, hardcore, electro-indus, metal et tekno hardcore... » (NatV)
This project is combining the metal hardcore sound of the Moshpit trio (I.O.T. Records) with the clubbing/dancefloor sound of Boxon Records. With no less than 4 remixes by Dilemn, Kode-X, BeeGood, and Me Against Me, the songs « Teenage Anthem », « Souvenirs And Other Tumours », and « Sell Outs Until Death » are all taking here a new dimension, becoming more club, break, and industrial techno.
All the original songs come from their album « Follow The Loser », OUT on I.O.T. Records in May 2008 (Get it HERE). His wonderful and special design has been made by the graphist Niark1. Then that’s him again who has been making the cover of this new Boxon release.
Also, if you like Dub Step, Drum'n Bass, or Break-Beat, do not forget to check the « Remix Moshpit Contest » EP out in september 2009 on I.O.T. Records again (Get it HERE).
Listen NOW to some extracts of the "MOSHPIT Remixes" EP with the Fairtilizer players below.
A little while ago, D.Fine, a new producer from Bordeaux (who already remixed "Rock Star" for Boxon) sent to me this remix which he made for Gooseflesh on their track "Insanely" (present on the "Insanely" EP, Ref. Boxon016). We did not chose the track to be on the official release, so now we are giving it to you. Just clic on the little arrow on the Fairtilizer player below, and download it for free.
Vous pouvez dès maintenant en savoir plus sur la venue du premier album des WAT (choix des tracks, pochette, nouveau live, programme de tournée en France et en Europe, etc.).
In only two years of existence, the French record label Boxon Records owned by Julien Minet (aka DCFTD) has been developing his five artists in electro: Tom Deluxx, Eclier, Dilemn, Gooseflesh, and WAT. Also the rock band Bogart & The Addictives has just been signed (you'll get some good news about it soon).
. Tom Deluxx began with electronic music as a deejay in Bordeaux (back in 2005). Since this time, he has successfully managed to set the stage for renowned electronic artists, such as Justice, The Bloody Beetroots, Para One, Boys Noize or SebastiAn. His dj sets are powerful, and his productions always up-to-date. His next EP, called « Run », is set up for April 2010, and Tom chose the italian Cyberpunkers to remix his new hit. Also, a video-clip (realised by Selim Bentounes) will be made, with a nice and friendly staff during a week-end close to Lacanau. Stay tuned for more details and exclusive news (trailer, mini-movies, etc.).
. Eclier, our siberian discovery, a really special artist with his really own style, old fan of the Daft Punk, and king of the melodies, has already released two EPs on Boxon Records (which are the « Boxon Say Hello » EP and the « Alpha River » EP), more two great remixes for Tom Deluxx and Dilemn. Alex Gopher, Nil Hartman, The Proxy and other nice producers are enjoying his music, describing it sometimes as « intelectual », and above all « with notes of hope ». Being able to work just with a really small equipment (a basic PC with the FruityLoops music program and some headphones), Nikita aka Eclier can also create energetic and massive tracks for the dancefloor; and that is what we’ll clearly hear on his upcoming « The Future Is Now » EP, coming out on Boxon Records before the summer 2010.
. Highly powerful, Dilemn's tracks blow huge basses, with monstruous kicks and staggering rhythmic. Keyboards melodies pour on incredible grooves and take you into a deep swirl of pleasure. Played by reputed dj's like Tiga, Soulwax, Tacteel, Erol Akan, Cut La Roc and having done an unavoidable Birdy Nam Nam remix, he's spotted by the Diesel compilation "Edges" on Because Music. Today Dilemn is very popular on the international electro scene and it's not unusual to see him in the Top 10 of digital best sales. After his successful "Cosmica" EP on Boxon (back in December 2008), his upcoming and so expected album (with great and still secret collaborations) is set up for the end of this year 2010 on Boxon Records. . Electro addicts don't worry: Turkey brings us Gooseflesh! Since 2008, this duo has been releasing his tracks on different labels such as Coco Machete, Freakz Me Out, Erase Records; they also won the international remix contest organized by Digitalism for their track "Taken Away". We felt that things were positively changing for them, we signed them and two months after it was released, their track "Blow Up" was still in the Beatport's 10 best sales... Then their "Still Wild" single was out in september 2009. After playing at the TransMusicales festival in December, they found the time to release the "Insanely" EP during the same month (still on Boxon Records), with remixes from Dilemn and Xinobi! More music from Gooseflesh on Boxon is coming soon…
. After two noticeable EPs in 2008, WAT (ex We Are Terrorists) is coming back with a new one « UU80 » on the french parisian label Place Blanche Records, and another one « Try Before Buy » on Motivo. Taking into consideration those last releases, it's even harder to classify their music... If we had to risk it, we would have to say that they are playing a kind of « positive electrorock, new wave discoteca, with a hip-hop twist »… (To be short). In live, the band offers us a set with keyboards, guitars, drum kits, and vocals… Their rock power and energy on stage are always linked to the electronic universe. More pragmatically, WAT is a big smile on your face, or a big punch on your head. Their first album "Wonder" is planned for the year 2010 on Boxon Records.
...
The mainart designer of Boxon Records is Anem (Bordeaux): she is at the same time building the identities of Tom Deluxx, Bogart and Gooseflesh, and working on her own career of illustrator. Other good people in graphism, who are Remixalone (he made the Boxon logo, and works on Eclier's identity), Niark1 (works on Dilemn's identity), and Jessie Rumble (works on WAT identity). have been working for the label.
Then for eclectic reasons, being thirsty for music, and in order that no one gets bored, other nice projects are being shown to people, such as: Daroc, Pro7, Access Denied, Hungry Sam, NT89& Distrakt, Y, Dyebox, StereoHeroes, The Toxic Avenger.
We do also have to thanks our remixers, who are: D.Fine, Tepr, Les Petits Pilous, Xinobi, Beataucue, Nicolas Chenard, Racontage, Léonard de Léonard, Digikid84, Datsu, etc.
Each year we are releasing the Boxon compilation: the first year, it was called « BOXON MAKES ME HAPPY »; the second year, « BOXON MAKES ME CRAZY »; and in 2011 a new one is coming. This project shows you nice electronic music made by artists from all around the world: Portugal, France, Russia, Belgium, United States, Australia, United Kingdom, Germany, Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Switzerland, Turkey, and from more to come…
