The vinyl EP starts with \ »Parallelism\ », an ultimate tribute to the rave anthems, with its massive spacey disco loop and strings. Already a classic! On \ »Do Not Educate\ », he rocks with his GameBoy and shows his taste for 8-bit synthesis. Then, \ »The Path\ » reveals his singular melodic genius. The introduction takes you on a fantasy journey with hypnotic organ and flutes, before rolling an electro monster with killer pads. Back side, the banger crew from South of France ELECTROLUXE FAMILY gives a monumental remix of \ »Parallelism\ », with a perfect shady introduction and a baroque concerto in the break. Le 9 novembre 2009, Boxon Records accueillera le premier EP de Daroc, producteur nostalgique des claviers et autres synthés 80’s. Telle une bande originale, Super8 décrit parfaitement l’univers de Daroc, inspiré des séries B et totalement anachronique.
Bercé depuis sa tendre enfance par les chansons de Supertramp, Gainsbourg, Pink Floyd ou encore Giorgio Moroder, Daroc y puise ses influences tout en développant un style personnel, où voix etsynthés composent des mélodies en racontant des histoires… Depuis son studio parisien, Daroc compose aujourd’hui des musiques de films largement imprégnées de sonoritésélectroniques. En décembre dernier, sa chanson « À bout de souffle » est sélectionnée par Boxon Records pour faire partie de la compilation « Boxon Makes Me Happy ». Il signera aussi le remix « Ground Zero » de We Are Terrorists, retenant l’attention des médias et de nombreux producteurs d’électro.

Super8 est l’aboutissement de son travail de production et promet le début d’une belle série de vinyles, dont le graphisme est assuré par le talentueux NK.
