5 tracks oscillant entre différents styles et montrant l’étendue des goûts de Deborah Aime La Bagarre. De superbes productions de House Music qui vont du hit de l’été à des titres plus mystérieux et pleins de groove, cet EP tout en polyvalence déborde de créativité.

Pour ouvrir la piste, Away, en collaboration avec la talentueuse Chine Laroche, est une chanson qui démarre dans une ambiance sombre avant de nous embarquer dans son flow des plus groovy. Yes! nous remplit ensuite de plein de bonnes ondes. Harpes luxuriantes et samples de vocaux provocateurs ajoutent encore au caractère de ce vrai hit estival.

On reste empli de positivisme en écoutant Spices et la géniale Chester Brown. Dans un esprit plus New-Yorkais, nos pieds ne peuvent s’empêcher de gigoter. Deborah ralentit légèrement le rythme sur Ain’t No Traffic Jam sans en oublier pour autant le groove ni les influences du grand Akufen et de son inoubliable morceau « Deck The House ».

La track la plus techy, Today Together, clôture cet EP en beauté. Les lourds kicks et l’élégante programmation des percussions permettent à ce titre de monter en puissance jusqu’aux reposants et essentiels breaks qui la composent. Cet EP démontre vraiment le large éventail de talents de la part des artistes. Ne manquez pas cette sortie !

A 5 tracker that walks between varied styles that span Deborah Aime La Bagarre’s range of tastes. Superbly crafted house music productions that range from uplifting summer anthems to the more groovy mysterious pieces, this is an EP full of versatility and creativity.

Away featuring the vocal talent of Chine Laroche opens the proceedings, a slightly sombre and brooding track at first until the progression starts to open up into a groovier flow. Yes! follows up and this is where we start to hit the feel good factor. Lush harps and cheeky vocal cuts add to the nature of this summer time heater.

Keeping the feel good vibe rolling we have Spices which features Chester Brown. With this one we have a slightly tougher more NY feel to it, and it is sure to keep those feet movin. Ain’t No Traffic Jam sees Deborah flip the rhythm a little on this and lays down a wonky but equally groovy House joint.

Today Together rounds up the EP presenting us with Deborah‘s most techy track. Big kicks and sweet drum programming allow this track swell and grow until that heavy breakdown! This EP really demonstrates the wide array of talent from the artists. Do not sleep on this one!

Guitariste rock de formation, Simon Drouard découvre la musique électronique il y a seulement quelques années, avec des artistes inspirants comme Yuksek ou encore Jacques Lu Cont. L’envie de composer s’est alors rapidement imposée à lui et le pousse à créer le projet Deborah Aime La Bagarre. Suite à son envoi de démo au début de l’année, l’entente avec Boxon Records pour sortir ce premier EP s’est faite assez naturellement, le label ayant eu le coup de foudre pour ses productions rafraîchissantes de House Music. Naquit alors l’«Uppercut EP».
Avec ses percussions syncopées et ses vocaux oniriques, le groovy et très rythmé «Nuit Forever» est aussi agréable à écouter avec un casque sur les oreilles qu’en soirée Club des plus prometteuses.
Idéal pour les DJs, «Stab» rappelle la house des débuts et ses synthés de type stab. Inspirépar Terrence Parker, Deborah Aime La Bagarre délivre un track orienté dancefloor, à la ligne de basse rebondissante et aux vocaux puissants !
Construit sur un tempo légèrement plus lent que les deux premiers morceaux de l’EP, la basse lourde et les puissantes caisses claires de «Gotta Do», propres à la G-House, font penser à des artistes comme Amine Edge & Dance ou encore Doctor Dru ; la voix au pitch modulé apporte une touche spatiale et le synthé, volumineux, ajoute du rythme et de l’ampleur au morceau.
Un premier EP si convainquant pour Deborah Aime La Bagarre qu’on en redemande déjà !

As he was already a trained rock guitarist, Simon Drouard discovered electronic music few years ago, with inspiring artists such as Yuksek or Jacques Lu Cont. He felt he had no choice but compose and create the project Deborah Aime La Bagarre. After sending his demo at the beginning of the year, he got along well with Boxon Records and the label, having had a crush for his refreshing productions of House Music, naturally decided to release his first EP. Then the « Uppercut EP » was born.
With its syncopated percussions and dreamlike vocals, the groovy and rhythmic « Nuit Forever » is as pleasant to listen with headphones as in the biggest parties in Club.
Ideal for the DJs, « Stab » brings us back to the house music from the very beginnings which is characterized by the presence of stab synths. Inspired by Terrence Parker, Deborah Aime La Bagarre has composed a great track for dancefloors, with a bouncy baseline and powerful vocals.
« Gotta Do », built on a slightly slower tempo than the first two titles of the EP, with its heavy bass and dynamic snares that are specific to the G-House, points out artists like Amine Edge & Dance or Doctor Dru. The pitch-modulated vocals add a spatial touch and the voluminous synth, adds rhythm and magnitude to the track.
It is such a convincing first EP for Deborah Aime La Bagarre that we already ask for more !

Un peu de « newbeat », un peu de house façon 90’s, des synthés syncopés façon 2000/Mondotek… C’est singulier tout en sonnant familier. Résultat : il me prends l’envie de danser tout en sirotant un mojito sur ma terrasse de jardin.
