Ponmelo EP. Attention ! Couvrez votre tête, enlevez une couche et rafraîchissez-vous : ici, la température est supérieure à la normale. La chaleur qui tape nous fait admirer des dessins psychédéliques et peut nous éblouir jusqu’à nous faire halluciner. « Ne serait-ce pas un mirage au fond à droite ? » Non,entrez donc ! C’est l’antre de Dj Prosper et ses amis, royaume de la danse et de la musique. Reprennez des forces, vous en aurez bien besoin…
Romain Coolen aka Dj Prosper utilise ses platines comme une machine à explorer le temps. Démarrant ses sets à coup de Hip-Hop ‘Old School’, il part sur un Breakbeat plus massif directement influencé par les artistes majeurs de la scène americaine (Bassbin Twins, Dj Dan, Simply Jeff…) abordant avec aisance tous les styles dansants : Electro, Nu Breaks, Techno, FunkSoul, Disco, Acid House, Down Tempo…
Habitué à faire bouger la nuit parisienne – et pas que -, DJ Prosper s’est forgé une solide réputation aux quatre coins de la France (notamment présent aux Transmusicales 2013 de Rennes et au Printemps de Bourges 2014).
Il invite ici ses amis, nous livrant un EP haut en couleurs : Ponmelo EP. Nicolas Vicente alias Konix qui a déjà une certaine expérience du dancefloor – il a notamment joué au Bogotrax festival en Colombie et aux caribbean full moon parties – ramène une touche deep-house agrémentée de rythmes tribaux. Nicolas Atlan ou Stabfinger, créateur du projet Lumiere live avec Enrico Wiltsch, est un artiste multi-facette qui se distingue à la fois dans le domaine musical classique et électronique développant un son bien à lui, qui mélange techno et breakbeat.
Ponmelo Ep contient deux titres originaux et trois remixes. Zam’x donne une touche oriental au morceau, Adam Polo apporte une dimension futuriste et Onetram, avec l’ajout d’une flûte de pan installe une ambiance envoutante.
Un air d’Amérique latine flotte sur ce nouvel EP qui rappelle à certains moments la musique merengue. Enduisez-vous de monoï, étendez- vous tranquillement sur la serviette, bienvenue en République Dominicaine…

Romain Coolen aka Dj Prosper uses his turntables as a time machine. Starting his sets with old school hip-hop, then he enjoys playing more massive Breakbeat tracks, from artists of the american scene (Bassbin Twins, Dj Dan, Simply Jeff…) dealing easily with many dancing styles : Electro, Nu Breaks, Techno, FunkSoul, Disco, Acid House, Down Tempo…
Being a real agitator of the parisian nights – and not only -, DJ Prosper has developed a good reputation in every corner of the country. (In particular at the Transmusicales festival in Rennes as well as at the Printemps de Bourges festival).
WiththePonmeloEP,heisinvitingsomefriends, offering us a multi-color release. Nicolas Vicente aka Konix who had already a certain dancefloor experience – he played in Bogotrax Festival in Colombia and in the Caribbean full moon parties – is bringing a deep-house touch spiced with tribal rhythms. Nicolas Atlan aka Stabfinger, creator of the Lumiere Live project with Enrico Wiltsch, is a multi-faceted performer who has a solid background in classical music and who is developping his own sound : a mix of techno and Breakbeat.
Ponmelo EP contains two originals titles and three remixes. Zam’x is giving an oriental touch to « Ponmelo », while Adam Polo is bringing a futuristic dimension on « Una y Otra Vez » and Onetram is setting up a mesmerizing mood thanks to the addition of a pan flute.
There is an ambiance of Latin America on this new EP which recalls sometimes the merengue music. Put some monoï on your skin, lay down quietly on the beach, you are welcome to the Dominican Republic…
